Solitude

Without great solitude, no serious work is possible. – Pablo Picasso

I am not going to write much for today’s assignment in photo101 ‘solitude’. I chose two pictures I took a couple of months ago already as I was running around all day and now the weather got bad. I believe that ‘solitude’ is captured in both pictures.

The first shot is probably my all time favorite so far as it combines so many things I love. The ocean, the horse, the solitude and freedom.

solitude1 solitude2I believe I followed the ‘rule of thirds’ in both pictures. In the first one the rider sits on the right line. In the second picture the rock sits on the intersection of the right and bottom line. Maybe I bent the rule here slightly…

Check out my post here and here for more pictures in relation to the ‘rule of thirds’.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks for your feedback 🙂
