I love a good storm. I think it clears the air. And as long as you are some place safe it’s one of the most amazing things to watch…
It’s not light that we need, but fire; it’s not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. – Frederick Douglass
Thank you Jennifer Nichole Well for another great One Word Photo Challenge!

Looks wonderful! I’d love a good storm like that. They always seem to pass right by us.

Great pics. I love a good storm now and then but not crazy about lightening. We are having a good rain and lots of wind.

I have been enjoying your photos and blog, so I nominated you for an award, not sure if you love ’em or hate ’em so if you want to accept, just visit here :https://kimlhine.wordpress.com/2015/05/07/i-won-an-award/

I appreciate your nomination and it means a lot to me. I’ve accepted this award previously. So I’d prefer not to follow all the rules again. I might write a post about it a little bit later as there were two more nomination recently and I’m thinking of combining them all into one post. Thank you so much for thinking of me 🙂

That photo is very interesting. We don’t have true thunderstorms in Southern, CA. In fact, we are starting to perform rain dances, because it hasn’t rained in so long. We got 1 day this year. We’re in a drought… my kids are helping by not flushing the toilet.

I heard! We got a good amount of rain the last couple of years but Australia is struggling too. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. And hopefully it won’t turn into floods when the rain finally arrives.

Oh it will, all the loose dirt from everything being extremely dry- first the fires, then loose soot, then rain, then mudslides.

I adore this quote, your thoughts and your image. I always love the slightly breezy air and the smell of rain after a heavy storm. There’s something so calming about it.
