I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. – Michael Jordan

Wise words. If we’re not brave enough to try and fail, then we will never experience success.

My stepson once said something similar. He’d failed at more things than anyone he knows in his high school class, but been way more successful than anyone he knows. Because he tries all of his ideas. He doesn’t think oh that’s a good idea. He thinks oh that’s a good idea I’m going to try it. So lots work out and lots don’t.

It’s good to hear that from a guy with his success. It puts things in perspective. You only see the success and not how often someone failed to get there and it’s great to become aware of it.

Yes it takes a lot of failure to reach success. It is just having the determination to carry on.

Rubbish or whatever you like really. Princess Anne made it up in the 1970s when she told members of the press to ‘Naff Orf!’ 🙂
