A Creative And Versatile F-(Word) Challenge

My blogger friend Erika decided to keep me busy and not only nominated me for another Creative Blogger Award, another Versatile Blogger Award but also for the F-Challenge. To keep it “simple” I’ve decided to combine the three of them in one post. Thank you so much, Erika, for keeping my brain going and my fingers hitting the keyboard 😉

So Here Are The Rules For The Versatile Blogger Award:

  1. Nominate 15-20 blogs and notify the nominees. (I break the rules here)
  2. Post the link of the blog that nominated you.
  3. Share five random facts about yourself.

And these are the rules for the Creative Blogger Award:

  1. Acknowledge the person who nominated you by thanking them and posting a link to their blog.
  2. Share 10 interesting things about yourself.
  3. Nominate 10 more bloggers. (You may want to let them know that they have been nominated by commenting in one of their posts.)

As with both of the blogger awards we have to share facts or interesting things about ourselves, I decided to combine these points as well. I will get to all the nominations at the very end of this post…

So let’s get to the 15 random facts about me, trying not to repeat myself over and over again…

  1. Last time I’ve painted my toe nails was in April. Up until two weeks ago the polish was still really good, which totally surprised me. But then it was finally time to say goodbye to the color I’ve chosen then…
  2. I do get my nails done on occasion…
  3. On normal days I’m not fussed about the fact if my hair is done or not…
  4. I never put much make up on. Actually I never put any foundation on my face.
  5. Out of 10 times going to the hairdresser, 9 times I come home and wash my hair again…
  6. I’m just watching our cat chase a leave around and wonder once again if he’s really blind…
  7. I wish it would snow here for once… And with here I mean in our suburb…
  8. I realized the other day that there is something in Switzerland I actually miss: The hikes in the mountains…
  9. Today is the first day in 4 weeks that I actually feel close to healthy again…
  10. I would so love to write humorous posts but I simply can’t… although I think I’m a pretty funny person…
  11. I just applied for a job I would really like to get…
  12. I’m considering if I should make myself a coffee or if it (again) would end up getting cold because I’m too focused on writing…
  13. I start looking at some bloggers as friends because we have such a regular communication. I like the idea that you can make friends that way. It also helps me understand how online dating can actually end up working well…
  14. My husband made fresh bread over night and took care of the laundry while I was sleeping… How lucky am I???!!!
  15. And here’s a little rant: It makes me furious to hear a stupid TV personality saying that we should clear the ocean from sharks so swimming will be safer. It shows that you don’t need to be educated to be on TV… For those of you who have still not seen the footage of the shark attack on Mick Fanning, here it is. I bet that he would never want sharks to be hunted. As much as Bethamy Hamilton would never want them to be harmed. When do we understand that they belong there and we are only visiting, taking the risk to get in their way every time we enter the water? The ocean needs sharks. The world needs them. The balance is already off and in hunting them, it will get even worse. My cup of tea…

Now after this I should probably get to the part of this post I “fear” the most ;-)… The F-Challenge! I totally see why it’s not called the F-Word Challenge but it’s actually about a lot of words that start with the letter F. So they are F-Words, right?

And here are the rules for that little game:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Write a prose of five lines, in which every line should start and end with a word that starts with ‘F’.
  3. Keep the link of the original F- Challenge in the post, so that the creator may get a pingback.
  4. This challenge is open to anyone who sees it, or reads a F- Challenge post from someone.
  5. Nominate 7 other bloggers for this challenge.

Furious I get to see us hunt down the fin
For what we call freedom.

Feel safe in an environment in which we are foreigners?
Fear and harm we cause on this front.
Finally see that we should accept and not fear
Free those animals should be finally.
..

Oh well, I tried and I followed the rules. That counts, right?

Now please, do me a favor: Don’t get upset if I decide not to nominate over 30 bloggers. To be honest, I would prefer not to nominate anybody but rather leave it up to you which one of the three above you would like to accept (feel free to accept all three of them). All of you guys out there deserve the two awards for sure. So go for it. Just link back to this post as I would love to read what you are coming up with.

I saw that shark attack on the news this morning, It was incredible that the surfer got away unharmed. I agree with you that sharks should not be hunted!!!!
