How could you possibly showcase humid or humidity in a picture… I was thinking so hard for a little while now and I decided that it’s best to post a pic that reminds me of humidity. The following pictures were taken in Far North Queensland a couple of months ago and believe me: It sure was humid up there…
Inspired by Jennifer Nichole Wells’ One Word Photo Challenge – Humid
It would be difficult to show humidity, but I think you have succeeded. Lovely pictures.

Covered in sweat the moment you stepped outside…

Ack! Often it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity?

It looks nice, right? But it was crazy humid. The moment you were in the forest it was better though

These are beautiful! Humidity was quite difficult for me too – I’m glad you were up for the challenge.

I LOVE humidity. My favourite hash tag is #warmandmoist It’s the biggest downside of living in Canberra. It is too dry.

I was just about to ask you what you do in Canberra then 😉

I suffer. I have Ichthyosis vulgaris and every day my skin causes discomfort and some days it’s painful.

Wow… Do you use a vaporizer to ease it? Might be a stupid question…

I use a lot of moisturiser. I reckon I buy more moisturiser than most of the women I know.

Moisturizer can have the opposite effect and dry your skin out even more. Have you ever tried Coco Butter? Almond oil, Macadamia oil or even olive oil?

I’ve tried them but they get greasy. I produce about a glass of dead skin a week. I find sorbolene to be the best for me. I put it on in the shower, after a shower and before I go to bed.

I see… They do feel greasy and with the amount of dead skin you produce… No chance to move to humid climate? That would be better for you, right?

I have a great job and really good friends. Canberra as a town is pretty good. It’s small and there’s no traffic. I keep looking for jobs elsewhere though.

Oh it’s a great city! I loved it when we were there. Nice and quiet.

It’s like a cold and dry version of Darwin (my happy place) 😀

You could do a before and after pic to show humidity. How you can go from perfectly comfortable to a hot sweaty mess just walking to your mailbox. Been there done that myself!

Yep, that would have worked…
