Be Thankful

First of all Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends. I hope you spend a fantastic Thanksgiving with all your loved ones!

My next thank you goes to Ritu who has invited me to take part in the “Be Thankful Challenge”. For sure a fantastic idea and I have to mention the creator of this challenge as well here, a blog named ScaleSimple. A truly great idea!

So here’s what this challenge is all about:

*Share this image in your bog post Done

*Write about 5 people in your life you are thankful for

*Write about 5 things in 2015 that you are thankful for

*Spread the love and challenge 5 other blogs to take part

I don’t have to think long to come up with 5 people in my life I’m thankful for. It’s pretty straight forward:

My husband for always being there for me and for our kids. For understanding me even when he doesn’t really understands me. For being supportive and strong, for being weak. For the laughter and the tears. The love I feel from him every day.

My son for being such an amazing boy. For being strong and inspiring and for his dedication. For being so respectful of every life on this planet. For his smiles and his hugs and his kisses. For letting me still kiss and hug him in public. For the love I feel for him and he feels for me.

My daughter for being such a sunshine. For her smiles and giggles, her dedication and strength. Her tears and letting me dry them. For all the special hugs and cuddles and kisses. For her creativity and for all the fun we have. For the love I feel for her and she feels for me.

My Dad for his love he always had for us. For him being protective all the time even when it was not necessary. For his made up bedtime stories and all the fun things we got to discover thanks to him. For his love and his inspiration.

My Mom for being a great mom, friend and role model in many ways.

This year I have been specifically thankful for:

Everyone in the family being healthy and happy, something that you can not take for granted.

For my friend and our great walks and talks once a week. I really appreciate it.

For having learned a lot once more. Some lessons were fun and some not so much. But it all adds up to a great life lesson.

For the many beautiful days I was able to spend outside.

For everyone in this world who tries to make it a kinder, cleaner, better and happier place.

The bloggers I’d like to invite to take part in this challenge are:

Me – Who am I?
and last but not least
Silver Lining Mama (I sure hope you will soon be back blogging…)

Have a beautiful day and no matter if it’s Thanksgiving or not today where you are, if you celebrate Thanksgiving at all or not: Think about what you are thankful for. Who you are thankful for having in your life. Think about the beautiful and positive things this life has to offer even if times might not be that easy.

Perfect Day7

  2. Sounds like you have quite a lot to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving (sounds so weird saying that in October and not in November).

    • Hahaha… I know what you mean. Same here. As Swiss you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving and neither do the Australians but as we had so many American friends we always ended up celebrating it with them and of course in November. Best thing though is, to celebrate it with American friends in the US…
