Winter in Australia is definitely different to winter in Switzerland (check out what the differences are by clicking on the links). The Swiss in me needs a little bit of cold snow under her feet on a regular base and thankfully we find that in the Australian mountains too…

Canadian winter is quietly approaching very quickly. Crash and Bang refuse to believe that 5C is cold outside and want to wear spring jackets. Perhaps I’ll have to compare winter here with Virginia winter π

I had no idea that Austraila had any snow. That’s interesting. I’ve never learned to like winter and I am not sure I ever will.

Yes, there are actually a couple of ski resorts. Perisher, Thredbo, Mount Hotham, Mount Buller, Falls Creek. You can google it if you like. Those are the main ski resorts and skiing up there is surprisingly good (that coming from a Swiss who grew up in a ski resort…).

Hehehe. I’m serious though. I was surprised to see how good skiing actually was here. You have to get used to ski around gum trees. That is still pretty fascinating to me.

Oh there’s the beach… I could probably be without the snow as long as there’s a beach close by. But like this it’s pretty perfect π
