Thanks for this. Whether you love someone or hate them, you are giving them space inside your head. The only way to get them out is to move to indifference. I don’t hate snakes but if I encounter a nest under my house I will ignore them if beneficial, kill them if poisonous, and always err on the side of caution.

I agree with you. Hate and love are very intense feelings. I decided a long time ago that I don’t hate. I dislike a lot but I never hate. I don’t want to invest the same intensity of a feeling for someone I don’t love…

As I said on your facebook post about this, I’m submerged by sadness at his words but also by hope and love. He’s so absolutely right. And I’m happy to see more and more of these reactions instead of the opposite. ❤

I totally agree with you. It’s great to see that kind of reaction and it’s far from what they want.

The absolute perfect response. You cannot give them what they want. You have to continue on regardless.

I saw this the other day. It really is touching. That is exactly how we all should be approaching this disaster in Paris. The “bad guys” want us to hate and be upset. We can’t give them that satisfaction.

An incredible view of the kind of strength that is needed over and over in this world. All strength need not be displayed by violence. What a remarkable man!

He is indeed. I hope he will be able to not hate. I imagine it won’t always be easy…

This is difficult to achieve but very necessary, let me not say compulsory in this world we have today. Hatred can take so much energy, much more than you can imagine, so why give it? Anger unchecked, leads to hatred.
