Versatile Blogger Award And A Little Celebration Party

I know that some of you are not too keen on blogger awards. Sometimes it also feels like a bit of a task to follow the award rules. Personally, though, I love those awards. It’s a little pat on the shoulder, a little sign of appreciation. Thank you so much, A Bit Of A Geeky Mom, for nominating me for yet another Versatile Blogger Award. Don’t stop reading now, it’ll turn into a little party…

The rules are pretty straight forward:

  • Show the Award Logo on your Blog
  • Thank the Blogger who nominated you
  • Share 7 facts about you
  • Nominate 10 Bloggers for this award

I wonder if I can come up with 7 facts about myself that I haven’t already shared… I will give my best.

  1. My kids tell me that I’m a good cook. I believe they actually used “great” as well…
  2. They think that I’m smart…
  3. They called me pretty as well…
  4. They think that sometimes I have a short fuse…
  5. … And of course I’m unfair sometimes. Especially when it comes down to digital games and screen time…
  6. They think I’m a great skier…
  7. And they told me more than once that I’m the greatest mom ever…

Now to the part that I usually have my issues with: Nominating a certain amount of bloggers for an award…

If you read my posts on a regular base you might know what’s coming next. I know it’s not really the idea of this award but then I know that the ones that will comment first of all read this post and second care enough to actually comment. Plus I hopefully get to read some pretty amazing posts!

So here we Go, let’s get the party going. Let’s consider it as my little celebration party! So come over and join me! But please consider the house rules, so I can nominate you too:

  • Share your most favorite post you’ve written so far in 2016 in the comments
  • Spread the word about this little Blogger get-together.
  • Consider yourself nominated and if you feel like it write a post about it.
  • Have fun!

It would be great to see you all over here and bring your friends 😉

  1. Congratulations! I looked up the word versatile and I think the synonym multitalented fits you well :)… and what a neat little blogging party idea! The post that I would like to share is actually from yesterday. It’s a great reminder that we don’t need to plan every minute of our children’s “play dates’ and get-togethers with structured activities. We, 12 children (between the ages of 5-10) and I spontaneously hiked to a hidden unknown creek yesterday. The result was beautifully behaved children, fun memories, and bonds of friendship that will last!
Thanks for letting me share 🙂

  2. Congratulations, you and your blog are most deserving! Since I have stepped away from my blog and I am here just checking in, it wouldn’t be fair to leave a post. I have not idea how long I will be away.

  3. Congratulations on your nomination.
I’ve never had a problem with these peer-to-peer awards. I know they don’t really mean very much in the grand scheme of things, but they give an opportunity to come up with ways of not following the (often rather tedious) rules that come attached to them and it’s always nice to reinforce the blogging community ethos by spreading the word about other writers’ work.
