#AtoZChallenge: U Like Ultimate…

It’s ANZAC Day here. Not only just a public holiday. Anzac Day is about the anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand troops on Gallipoli in 1915. But not only that! It is also the day on which we remember Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. It stands for peacekeeping, human qualities, mate-ship, courage and sacrifices.

Ultimate sacrifices.

“A soldier is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to their country for an amount up to and including their life! “

I have a huge amount of respect for those who are willing to give their life for a country, for people they have never met, people who even might critizise their decision to go to war. People, who might not respect their ultimate sacrifice, the sacrifice they make and the sacrifice their families make.

There are always black sheep everywhere. So of course you would find a trigger happy crazy person among soldiers. But I believe that the majority of them does not join the army to find pleasure in hurting people. The majority does it for the right reason. To protect!

Today U stands for Ultimate! So many heroes out there that have made that ultimate sacrifice.
