Recently I read a post about how living near the sea can approve your mental health. In it it describes how scientists found out that living near green space has not the same impact as living near the sea does. In short: It might be that the green space consists of man made areas as well while the blue space is all natural.
Frankly, I don’t care what the reason behind it actually is. What I do know though is, that being close to the ocean has a massive impact on me. Watching the ocean always makes me feel good, no matter if the water looks like a mirror or if the waves are high and pushed in by Gale force winds. I’m not sure if it’s the water itself or the idea of this immense wide open space that lies in front of you. I’m not sure if it’s the power of the ocean, the mystery it holds or the beauty of the different shades of blue.
I know that being close to the sea makes my mind wander. Feeling the sand under my feet makes me connect. The ocean simply relaxes me and at the same time feeds me with an abundance of energy. And it makes me dream…
