The most important partner in my life is my husband. He is the one person who knows me and carries me, loves me for who I am and makes me feel like I can do everything. I’m so glad we found each other (here is how…).

My partnership with him is for sure the most important one I had in my entire life. Before I met him though, there was another partner in my life I trusted, I loved and gained a lot from. It was my horse.

I horse can give a teenage girl a lot, you know. There’s something about this creature. About going on rides, experiencing nature from the back of a horse. The feeling of becoming one with nature is always there. You feel the horses movement, you hear the hooves on the ground, you smell the horse, the wind in your face when you go faster, the warmth of its body. Nothing better than wrapping your arms around a horses neck when you feel down. Nothing better than getting that little nudge from your horse while walking alongside your horse and your thoughts take over.

I lost my horse shortly after getting married to my husband. Somehow it still feels like she made room for me to move forward. Although I have moved forward and live my life with my beautiful family I still miss her to the day.

  1. Your horse was a beautiful looking creature. I’ve no doubt you miss her. She helped you through the ups and downs of life as you grew older. Good memories to hold on to. šŸ™‚

  3. I answered my own question by clicking on your link. My face is soaked in tears after reading, but I’m so touched by your poignant tale of losing your partner. She was a beautiful girl.
