We are all part of this voyage called life. A journey on which we decide if we want to be a passenger or the captain. It’s a decision we have to make on a daily base. A decision that is not easy to make. Often we get pulled, feel like we can’t head in a different direction. Sometimes this feels good, other times it doesn’t.

When we swim in this river of life we need to decide if we want to lose energy fighting the current or swim with it. We need to decide if we give into this journey or fight it. It’s a course of travel or passage, it’s an expedition, it’s an enterprise. We need to stop fighting our journey, our expedition, our enterprise and give in, let ourselves be pulled in the current of our river and embrace the ups and downs, the rapids and easy flows.

Not only will this voyage take us on a journey through all stages of our life, childhood, youth, parenting to old age. It will also allow us to go on adventures. Adventures we choose, adventure that life throws at us. Challenges we overcome.

If we are lucky we will be able to experience this voyage called life traveling as well. Experiencing new places, new cultures, meeting new people. Widening our horizon. Taking it all in and make the most out of it…
