When I’m asked what I think is the biggest thing I got out of blogging I usually answer connections. Before A Momma’s View was born I would have never imagined how many new connections I would make. How many like minded people I would come across. It’s a pleasure to have met you and to meet you all, future connections…
It’s an amazing thing, you know. You suddenly get into this conversation with someone who lives somewhere across the globe but you immediately connect. You realize that you understand what the other person is saying, that they get you. Blogging is a social media as well. But the difference to all the other platforms is huge.
There’s support and exchange of thoughts. Apparently there are trolls too (as there are everywhere unfortunately) but so far I was lucky I guess.
Not only can you just have a decent conversation with your blogger friends all over the planet and learn about their opinions, but you can also properly learn things. Politics, religion, fashion, beauty, health. The list could go on and on. Honestly, it’s truly a pleasure to have met you all. You are here again, reading what I’d like to share with you. It means a lot to me.
One of those connections I made here on WordPress provided me and the entire family with an amazing day this week.
Miriam, who’s blogging on Out An’ About shared one of her outings on her blog and I really loved the place she went and what she had to share about it. When I realized that where she went was actually in our “closer” area I decided that I had to take the family there. And I’m so happy I did.
Although the weather was not perfect we had an amazing hike and a fantastic day out. And I’m truly grateful to have discovered this area thanks to Miriam’s post. Blogging is truly fantastic. Venture out! Discover blogs, make connections and share your experience! Not only will you make yourself feel good. You will touch many people around this globe and most probably make the day of someone you would have never met if you would have never started blogging…
Thanks for this post momma’sview. I relate well. Those are the things I am grateful for being in the blogging world too. Cheers!

I am the blogging connection too. My blog is slowly becoming more and more successful. Some things still need work on my blog. I need to have people to start commenting more, but at least I am starting to conversations between bloggers. I am only a new blogger after all.

It takes some time. The Community Pool on the Daily Post site is a good forum to network. Also head out and find blogs you might like in the reader. Just head to new blogs that you might find because you read through comments on a blog you like and like the comment made by that blogger. If you visit other bloggers, they will visit you.

I have visited other blogs in the reader. People visit it more often now and more countries are reading it. The trick with my blog is that it has two themes and one is gaining more attention then the other. People hardly comment or like posts on my blog, but it will get there

I had the opportunity to meet one of my fellow bloggers on a business trip in New York a few years ago. It was one of my best experiences on a business trip ever.
Sometimes I wish I could meet more of you face to face!! Now that would be a party!
