Australia is truly a wonderful country. I have to admit though, that some of it’s “locals” are a bit scary. Now, Spanishwoods recently asked me about spiders in Australia and when I saw this picture I immediately thought of her…

You should never truly believe what’s posted on certain social media channels but believe me, this creepy thing is actually real and the size is… well… it actually is like that!

  7. I’m speechless. To say that spider intimidates me seems so understated as to be comical. I’m certain that these Australian spiders are very interesting, but I would rather read about them than look at them in person. And if I ever came across such a large spider out in the open, well I think Kermit has it just right. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

  13. No, no, no…. don’t …. do ….. that…. to me!!! I already was so brave and held a tarantula in hands. But this is just like a pillow to sleep on… urgh…. have you ever seen one like this yourself?

  14. why oh why do i open this blog when you are talking about your menagerie of critters that will kill you or at the very least ensure that you have a very very bad day !? … if i ever saw a spider that big… i’d leave this planet for sure, that would be the end of me lol

  16. I shudder looking at the photo and could only imagine what it’ll look like in real life. As it is, Australia harbours most of the world’s deadliest animals! I still think it’s a beautiful creature though..from afar! I won’t go anywhere near that thing. Or any other spiders!
