Some people just need a listening ear, & non judgemental support. Question is how many people will offer that? Especially the non judgemental part.

A willingness to listen and a hot drink are often all that is needed. While I have contemplated taking my own life (often) I’ve never been able to agree the method so I don’t leave too much of a mess. Someone willing to talk would be a godsend but someone willing to listen over a cuppa, that would be a miracle! Wonderful job he’s doing.

Another example of how identity (and life) is linked to other people. The darkest days are the days we feel most alone. This gentleman obviously realizes that.
