Share Your World – 2016: Week 32

Cee’s Share Your World Challenge popped up just in time for me to get some distraction. I got stuck in my project and right now need to find a solution but can’t see it. Time to focus on something else, clear the mind and then keep moving forward. Have you also experienced how focusing on something else can make you find a solution that seems so clear but you could just not see it before because you were too engaged or thinking too hard about the issue? Anyway. Let’s see what Cee’s questions are this week:

If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
Fresh vegetables, fruits, salads and eggs. It’s what we work through the fastest in our household. I guess all the other foods I could still get but just not on an endless supply mode.

What is the worst thing you ate this last recently?
They do what they call a “sausage sizzle” here on a regular base. Recently I had what’s the probably the worst sausage I’ve ever eaten combined with what I call “nuke bread” (just the bleach white toast bread…). I was hungry… But looking back I would probably not get it anymore. Thinking of it I still have a yucky taste in my mouth…

You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?
I often think about wanting to do nothing for a while but when I get the chance I actually just can’t. I get bored. It’s not me. I can’t just sit there and stare into space. Don’t get me wrong, I love to watch the stars and the clouds, so I do kind of stare into space. But I can’t go for a long time without doing something. For me the worst feeling is being bored…

List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy.

  • Hospitality. I think I would enjoy it. It’s about people and the exchange with them. Something I love.
  • Spa. I once did a sports massage therapy training. Loved it. So again, it’s about people and making them feel better. So why not working at a Spa…
  • Tourist guide. Showing all the tourists my most favorite parts of the place I live in would be fun too, I think. Again it’s about connecting and exchange with others.

Maybe I should choose something that has nothing to do with people and connections and exchange… But do I really want to go that far?

The one job I always think I would have loved to do is Marine Biologist. I think deep down I regret not having done it.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
From a blogging perspective I’m grateful for having had the chance to guest blog for OM again and also being chosen as winner of a little blog challenge on Janice’s Mostly Blogging. From a “normal life” perspective I’m grateful for having had the chance to spend such a great amount of time with my family and my friends. And I’m very grateful that my friend is such a fighter.
