I was a bit surprised that you didn’t mention the city of Lucerne, where I visited a supplier when I worked for an aerospace company. I was impressed by the supplier’s facility and the people who worked in it. According to Wikipedia, Lucerne also has an exceptional transport network, and I believe my former employer’s inspector would heartily endorse this assessment.

Aha, I see! All cities in Switzerland have a great public transport system. Have you been to the “Verkehrsmuseum” in Lucerne? Fantastic place highlighting the history of transport.

Lake Constance is the one most familiar to me. My grandparents lived on the German side of it in Friedrichshafen. I spent many days looking at that lake.

I haven’t been in the area again ever since we moved to Australia. The couple of times we went back we stuck to the area my family lives in. Shame and next time I definitely will not do that again but show the kids what else Switzerland has to offer. And the neighboring countries.

I hope you get to do it. It’s good for the kids to see as much as possible.
