Nothing showcases how fast time passes by like watching your kids grow up, having just been your little baby and when you turn around you face your teenager. You see them grow, you see them change and you realize that there is nothing you can do. You can’t slow down time, you can’t stop, it’s moving forward if you like it or not.
Over time we pass through different stages in life, which are similar to nature’s four seasons. First there is spring, we are new and fresh, growing, shaping and reaching out. Then there is summer when we blossom and reach our full potential, our full beauty. We have arrived, stand strong. Fall follows where we still have juices but they are slowly getting less, we are slowing down, slowly drying out, changing and still showcasing our many beautiful sides, maybe even more colorful than ever before. Our roots are deep but they begin to weaken. And then there is winter. When everything slows down, pulls back, eventually shuts down… Leaving behind only memories of our stages in life.
Time doesn’t stop.
I decided to post pics of the different seasons as I don’t put any pics of my children on social media (here is why).
Check out The Girls That Dreams Awake’s blog for great recipes and pictures.
