That is true, but then one must wonder if positive people are ever mentally or emotionally imprisoned by the fact that they must *remain* positive (even if that means faking it externally) in order to meet the expectations they and others have placed on them. What’s going on inside? Are they truly as positive and happy as we believe them to be? That kind of goes with a draft I just started.

It not always about being positive, imo. It is about understanding that a generally positive outlook is going to benefit you long-term over a generally negative. I practice positive thinking but am not always a positive person.
