The above pictures sum up my kind of nature and I just realized once again, how diverse nature in our area is. From the most amazing forests with huge trees, to the fields with grazing kangaroos to the beaches. All the special birds and mammals that are unique to Australia and you get to see on a hike when you keep your eyes open…

Did you spot the snake (pic next to the rainbow lorikeet) and the kangaroos (not the flock of kangaroos but the pic below)?

Hahaha, yes, for both! We walked around a corner and there was the snake in the middle of the path. It “ran off” immediately, scared of us. I’m still not sure if it was a baby python (which my son claims) or a tiger snake (which would be highly venomous. Glad I didn’t find out…

Hahahahaha… oh I almost pushed over my son (backwards). The snake was just quicker to “run off” that I in my reaction but I was about to run…

Excellent photos! But I had to chuckle. I showed the picture of the kangaroos hanging out to DW and told her, “You know how we pass fields and there are sometimes deer just hanging out? A blogger friend who lives in Australia passes fields of kangaroos.” Then we both laughed.

Beautiful, aren’t they? I have to stop and look at them every time I see some. The rainbow one is pretty common here.

That really gives a taste of paradize. Btw. way a bunch of crazy outworn peeps from Germany who need a comeback, money, or simply attention are entering the Australian jungle for two weeks. Did you here from that real life doku “Ich bin ein Star holt mich hier raus!” ? I am sure you did. I cannot stand that nonsens.
