July 10th has long passed but I just didn’t make it to get to this challenge earlier this week. Cee has once again found some great questions for us to answer and I won’t play around with you any longer and cut to the chase. Here are my answers…
How do you like to spend a rainy day?
Inside reading, I guess. Or playing a game with the kids. Another option is going to the museum or the aquarium as well. We didn’t have that many rainy days recently. It’s a rather dry winter so far. At least in our region. I love it when the weather is different than “normal”. Makes you change things around.
When I read the question I was tempted to answer “on the soccer field, watching my daughter play” as up until last season most of the days she played or trained it was raining. And we are speaking heavy rain. The kind of rain you don’t like to be in for too long. But of course because it’s your child that is doing something they love, you stick around and take part in it. I might jinx it now but so far all their training sessions were dry and the games as well. So let’s keep the fingers crossed it will stay like this for the rest of the season…
List at least five favorite treats. (They do not have to be sugary).
Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Bueno (I like chocolate), dark chocolate. I also love veggies and dips. Or a good cheese and crackers for a treat.
Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?
A most go to is definitely the little wildlife park we visit on a regular basis. Just because it’s possible to feed kangaroos and have all kind of animal encounters with the native animals. It’s something everyone really enjoys. And then there are the little hidden lanes in Melbourne that are just so amazing to discover. To be honest it depends a little bit how long they are here for and what they’d like to do. There are a couple amazing day trips but this only makes sense if they have enough time to actually enjoy it.
You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with?
Someone interesting to have a conversation with. And someone who has good hygiene. It doesn’t have to be a celebrity if you were aiming at that. Just someone who is not boring me. There are people in this world who you can ask a question and after the first 3 words you zone totally no matter how hard you try to listen to them just because they are even more boring than a white wall. So if I’d be trapped in an elevator then with someone who knows how to tell stories but can also listen. Someone you can learn from. No matter what.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
We had the most amazing short get away. The area we headed to was on my little list for the entire time we have now lived here and we finally made it. It’s just a stunning place and the hikes we managed to squeeze in were amazing.
I had a very intense moment at one point, when we arrived at one of the lookouts. Standing up there overlooking the forest took my breath away. I was in awe. Speechless and completely mesmerized. by the beauty of the place.
