Well hello there! I’ve almost forgot to do my weekly Share Your World post. Well I actually did forget but I’m catching up right here and now. Cee has asked some pretty great questions once again over the last two weeks and here are my answers:
Complete this sentence: I’m looking forward to….
My normal routine. While this means that the excitement of working for one of the worlds most amazing events will be over too, it will give me back time with my family, time to workout and time to simply be. I can’t wait to head to the beach or to a park and actually just be. It will take time to slow down. I know the feeling. You work on overdrive for weeks and when it’s suddenly all over it hits you hard. It’s almost like being on cold turkey. Your system still on overdrive but you don’t have to be anymore and in a way there is no outlet for it. I guess it will be the best time to start a decent workout routine again 😉
What is your favorite comfort snack food?
Right now fruits. I crave fruits. But chocolate is of course always high up there… Hi, I’m Momma and I am a chocaholic…
What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)?
Working for a local sport event as a driver. It was heaps of fun, long hours, many conversations, a crush, a heartache, new friendships and the start of a pretty good run in regards to casual jobs…
List 2 things you have to be happy about?
I have to be? I am happy about having my family and everyone being healthy. I guess that covers it all. There are many other things I’m happy about but those two are the main ones, the big ticks on my list of things to be happy about.
Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?
Yes, I do have a couple. Amethyst, Tiger Eye, Turqois and many more. I love rocks. And they don’t have to be shiny. I actually have a bit of a habit of picking up rocks when I like them and taking them home. My husband just told me recently when in Canada that I should consider not doing it as it might eventually get me in trouble. There was a Swiss politician who a couple of years back picked up a rock, I believe it was in Turkey, thinking it would be just a cool rock. He wanted to take it home and it turned out it was a part of an ancient wall and therefor a protected item. How it all ended I don’t know… While I doubt that I would be ignorant enough to not pay attention to a sacred site I think maybe it could “just happen” by not being aware it is actually a sacred place.
Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I am a hugger and people have told me that I give pretty good hugs. I hug with intention. I hug to give something and not just to hug. If I don’t feel like giving something to someone I don’t hug. I find there is a huge flow of warmth and energy in a hug. Sometimes a hug can do more than kind words. It gives more. It “speaks” a thousand words. It’s like a warm blanket you wrap yourself and the person you hug into…
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Right now I’m just simply inspired by life. By the opportunity it has given me. By things people told me. My river flows really smoothly at the moment. I know there will be tougher stretches ahead again at one point but right now I really love flowing in it 🙂
