Share Your World – February 5th and 12th, 2018

I am surprised to see that Cee comes up with more and more questions for us to answer, week after week, for her Share Your World Challenge. Quite often they seem so “harmless” until you start answering and then your mind keeps going and going and reading more and more into it… Let’s see what we have in stock this time, combining this week’s and last week’s Q&A.

What would be your ideal fantasy way to spend Monday?
Probably getting up energized, heading to yoga, feeling fantastic in the class, able to do EVERYTHING and then float home on a high, ready to tackle the week… Instead I struggle to get up, make it to yoga actually, then feel like dying after the first 15min, knowing that there are still 60min ahead of me, trying to not fall over for most of the rest of the class and sweating from parts of my body I didn’t even know you can sweat from… Talking about floating home and being energized? Wouldn’t that be nice, right… it’s more of a “come on, body, you can make it, only a few more steps” and then trying to not go back to bed for a Nana nap… Do I love my yoga training? Of course I do! And I know one day I will feel totally energized, fantastic in class, able to do everything and then floating home not knowing what to do with the energy I have in me… 😉

What one person that you are out of contact with would you like to say thank you to?
A long time ago I had an encounter with a stranger who really pulled me out of a dark place. Just like the way he appeared he also disappeared again and I’m still baffled about the experience because it almost feels unreal. I never was in contact with him but he is definitely the kind of person I would like to see again at one point and say thank you to…

List your favorite toys or games as a kid?
Barbie! And their horses… my friend and I spent countless hours playing with the barbies. My dad created some kind of Barbie world for us in one part of the attic in my parents house. It’s still there. We used old shirts and fabric bits and pieces to create cloths for them, crafted their furniture and so much more. And we had the best time ever. I remember that there were heaps of Playmobil too but as much as I liked them too, they were never ever as important to me as the Barbies…

I find they were much nicer then than they are now. Especially the horses…

Are you a practical jokester?
Nope, not really…

Who cuts your hair?  You, a friend, or professional.
A professional. Because I do a shocking job and I don’t let anyone else touch my hair until I know they won’t screw it up. I’m that kind of person who wants to see that one hairdresser and nobody else… But then I’m totally simply in the sense of “no fuss please”. Go figure…

Did you have a stuffed animal when you were a kid, if so what kind?
I had 3 that were my “friends” and traveled with me everywhere. One was a lamb, one was a little horse and one was a bear with a battery heart that was beating if you turned it on. There were others but they never traveled with me so they weren’t as important. And I always held all of them together when falling asleep. But they are no longer with me. They could have probably made it till today but the attachment stopped at one point. So I’m not the kind of person who passed her teddy on to her kids.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Seeing my friend and spending time with her. Listening to the giggling of the kids. And my yoga training today, although it was so so hard… Something stuck to me though and it was the following quote. It resonated with me because I highly believe in things happening at the right time for you. You have to be ready to be able to pick up on it and then do something with it. So when our yogi mentioned the proverb in class I couldn’t help but smiling…
