You know that I write 2017 every single time I write the title to this post? Seems like I can’t let go of 2017 that easy ;-). Anyway, it’s time to answer Cee’s questions once again. If you have not yet discovered her Q&A, you should really, REALLY head over to her blog. There are heaps of great posts, beautiful pictures and fun challenges over there. So what are you waiting for? But before you leave me, here are my answers to Cee’s questions…

If a distant uncle dies and you were always his favorite and leaves you $50,000 (any currency) in his will, what would you do?
I would totally take it. And then I would put it aside, put $15,000 into each of the kids accounts and the rest would stay in our account. I might even open new accounts and treat this money as if it’s not there, trying to make the most out of this lucky gift. I would try to explain to the children that this is money they should keep aside as an emergency fund. I think if you get money in such a way you should really cherish it and not blow it all. It’s tempting to head out and purchase things you were dreaming of. But you also need to be wise. While I’m all for living in the present, sometimes you need to consider the future too…

What sound or sounds do you love?
I love the wind in the trees, or the sound of waves crushing in (big one and huge ones) and I love the sound of rain on the roof. I love the sound of my children’s laughter. I love hearing the comfortable and relaxed sigh of my children when they just fell asleep (do you know what I mean? Not really sure how best to describe it). I love the content breathing out when you hug someone. I love to hear birds sing (and even love to hear the very noisy cockatoos early in the morning when they seem to have their staff meeting outside of our home). I love the humming of bees (not the one of mosquitoes). I love to hear my daughter sign and my son whistle.

What’s your middle name?  Why?
Let’s not go there. I hate my middle name and I’m sure glad it was not picked as my first name. Every time I have to fill out a form with it on it I cringe…

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
We ended up in a close by park yesterday by coincidence. A park we’ve never been and my son’s training for an activity got moved to this park just for the day. It’s a jewel of a park and I can’t believe I’ve never been. And there are horses there! I can’t believe there are horses so close to us and I have not realized it. It really made me happy!
