Share Your World – March 19th, 2018

In pale gold leaf-fall losing shape and edge

Another week has passed and I find myself looking for Cee’s Share Your World post. Before I open her post I wonder what kind of questions she has in store for us this time. I wonder in which direction they might go. Isn’t it fun how a blog post can make you curious?

What is your earliest memory?
I can’t actually pinpoint what age I was but I remember being in the hospital with heaps of tubes being stuck in my arm (probably was just one…). I had a case of salmonella apparently from eating snow and was so sick that I had to be treated for dehydration and salmonella in hospital for a couple of days. That was before kindergarten which starts when kids turn 5 in Switzerland (or at least did back then). I also have a memory of me being in Italy just with my parents while my brother was home. I must have been just 4. And then when I was in school (maybe 8) how I almost cut the top part of my index finger off while using a Swiss Army knife (yes, they do not only fix stuff…). But that’s as far as it goes.

Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?
An absolute no brain-er for me: Over! I heard though that there are good reasons for putting it on the other way…

What makes you feel grounded?
My family. Weather like what we have today. It’s a beautiful early fall day. Air is crisp but the sun is still warm. Sky has a deep blue color. And it just smells like fall…

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? ย Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.ย
I sit here and smile because I know it has clicked
