Last week was a bit of a special one and so I’m playing catch up here in regards to reading and answering comments and trying to read posts as well. I just realized that I’ve actually skipped my favorite challenge as well and therefor I will answer all questions Cee posed over the last two weeks in one post. Let’s see what she has in store for me…
What household chore do you absolutely enjoy doing? (can be indoor or outdoor)
I was thinking hard about this… Cleaning? Nope. While I find myself cleaning to calm down my nerves when I’m either nervous or angry about something, I find it satisfying to see a clean house but equally frustrating to then see it all get messy again! I would totally be up for a self cleaning house if someone would come up with it. So I kept thinking and crossing off ironing (I do NOT like ironing), doing the laundry, folding it and putting it away. Grocery shopping? Yeah… naw,,, as Aussies would say… while I don’t dislike it it’s also not really my favorite thing.
And then I realized what chore I absolutely enjoy doing: Cooking! It took me a while to come up with it because I don’t see it as a chore. It was when I was thinking about grocery shopping and picking ingredients for a dish when I realized that cooking can be seen as a chore too. I don’t really see it as a chore because I really enjoy doing it.
Create a sentence with the words “neon green” and train”.
From far you could spot the neon green train make its way through the countryside, carrying along its passengers dressed in bright pink…
Other than your cell phone what can you always be found with?
My favorite necklace…
If you were to pack a basket for picnic lunch, what would be in your basket?
It actually depends a little bit where we are heading. And I have to admit, my picnic “basket” never looks as fancy as the one in the picture (maybe I should up my game a little bit…). Most likely you’d find sandwiches, cookies, vegetables, maybe a dip, fruits and water in my basket.
On a vacation what would you require in any place that you sleep?
Fresh linens and towels and soap. Just the basics when I arrive to get washed up and then have a good night sleep. I could then still organize whatever I need when I’m rested.
If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?
First of all it would have to be in a good enough condition for us to move in and live in without having to invest a bucket load of money. Then it should be of a good size and equally sized rooms for the kids. Also space outside for us. For the kids to play, for us to entertain.
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I put a post out on Facebook and asked people to describe me in one word. Honestly the most amazing thing ever as the words listed were simply blowing me away and just mentioning it here puts a big smile on my face once again…
