Oh the people you meet when blogging! It’s truly amazing. I could list so many bloggers here I met over the two years I’m blogging, some of them I started following in the very beginning, some I only found later.
Like Cyranny. I’ve only connected with this crazy, fun blogger recently and I’m sure glad I did! Not only is her blog heaps of fun but her ideas are great too, like her picture battle… Just hop over and see for yourself!
And not only has she challenged me to a picture battle but she has also nominated me for another Black Cat Blue Sea Award. And you know what she said??? She actually said that “Momma is always a good read”… Yep, she said that! How nice of her!!!
So thank you, my friend! I really appreciate it!
It’s a lovely day today in our beautiful city. The birds are singing and the sun is out, the bees are busy doing there thing and the trees are blossoming. We had a lovely catch up with friends and heaps of fun. What makes this day even more lovely is the nomination for the One Lovely Blog Award that I received from fellow mom Alyssa who is blogging for her little daugther at Dearlilyjune.
Thank you my newly found blogger friend for your lovely nomination and the lovely words you used to describe my blog. You truly made my day!
… just entered my home. Not only through the open windows or the through the smiles, hugs, kisses and sparkling eyes of our children but also thanks to Curlygirlabroad who has nominated me for yet another Sunshine Blogger Award.Thank you so so much, for lighting up my day, my dear blogging friend!
For those of you who don’t know this curly girl abroad yet, here is a very brief description:
“Where should I start? I’m a Belgian, born and raised. 22 years old. Ever since I was born, my parents took me on their travels across Europe. Travelling taught me a lot as a kid from spending weeks abroad, camping, to finding my way around in foreign cities. I’ve always loved it. I adore exploring new places, far or nearby, getting to know new cultures. I like a mix between culture and nature.”
Of course there is much more to her and you should really head over and check out her blog. It’s sure worth it.
Let’s get to it, shall we:
You know that feeling when you read something and a song pops up in your mind right away? It just happened to me… “Walking on sunshine…” I’m singing it while typing…
This week is a celebration week. My blog is turning 2 tomorrow and it actually feels like you guys are sending gifts over this week in the form of blogger awards. This one is the third I receive in only a couple of days and it puts a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much, Domestic Diva, for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. You have such a lovely blog and I’m not surprised that the color yellow is your favorite color. It shines through your posts and you blog. A warm, happy color!
Seems to be the time for awards again. Not sure why but I got nominated again for a Liebster Award and I’m so totally thrilled! Thank you so much, Niki, for thinking of me! You should definitely check her blog out. I love what she writes about and the way she does it.
I know a couple of bloggers who have decided to go award free with their blogs. I totally understand but up until today I would not do the same. I think each and every time I get awarded for one of the blogger awards out there it puts a smile on my face. So thank you so very much, A Penny For My Thought, for nominating me for another Versatile Blogger Award.
The only issue I actually have with being nominated is that I often struggle to come up with nominees, just because I find it hard to only pick a few out of this massive amount of fantastic blogs out there.
Sucheta, thank you so very much for nominating me. I bet you thought I forgot all about it… I didn’t 😉
To The Rules:
- Show the award on your blog. Done
- Thank the person/people who nominated you. Done
- Share 7 things about yourself. Okay
- Nominate 10 blogs. Okay
I will turn this around slightly as it is my blogs birthday week this week. So I kind of feel I can do what I like there… I know, I know…
Anyway… So let’s not share any facts about me. I’ve done that plenty of times in my award posts. Let’s just celebrate my blogs 2nd Anniversary together!
Come on over and share check out what you have to do to be part of the celebration! Join the Blogger Meet & Greet Party and let’s make some new connections and maybe refresh old ones…
Don’t leave links here, head to the Meet & Greet post linked above to share your link…
Look at that! Another award nomination! I have not seen this one before but I think it looks and sounds like fun. Thanks so much, Simon, for nominating me. If you don’t know Simon’s blog “Planet Simon” yet, head over to his blog. He describes himself the following way:
“An engineer, thinker with a vivid imagination that runs away with me. Totally geeky and weird with a weird sense of humor. I’ve started putting my ideas and imagination into stories and blog posts, hoping that this will take me somewhere boldly I’ve not been to before. I’m totally into making new friends.”
I also tried to find out where the award comes from, but I got lost in the process… So anyway, it’s a great way of showing bloggers your appreciation.
It seems to be the time. The time I get my little nods and pats on the back from all of you. There’s another Award in my virtual cabinet now, another beautiful gesture. This time it comes from a blogger I’m yet to discover myself. Actually, it was so interesting to read her acceptance post, the answers she gave and the facts she shared. It’s fun to read things like this when you don’t “know” the blogger just yet. Thank you so much, Wordsmith Observations, for nominating me for another Liebster Award 🙂 I truly appreciate it and I can’t wait to read more from you over the next weeks and months.
If you are reading my award posts and you are not a blogger you might wonder what this blogger award thing is all about. Well, I can tell you what it is about for me: Appreciation. Some one out there actually thinks that my blog is worth being mentioned and being given one of the blogger awards. Although I will not have a real trophy to put up in a cabinet I still love to collect these little tokens of appreciation.
A huge thank you to Sharon, who is blogging over at Element for nominating me for a very new award, the Miranda Sings Award. I love being nominated for awards like this. It’s just such a nice little token of appreciation. Please head over to Sharon’s beautiful blog, if you have not discovered it yet. It’s a truly inspiring place, full of positive vibes.
So apparently Miranda sings. Hhmmm, see, I didn’t know that. But I was trying to find out a little bit about this award but couldn’t find any info about it. I promise I keep looking. Anyway, she seems to be pretty original, this Miranda person 🙂
