Share Your World – January 2nd 2017

Well, I let you in on a secret: It’s actually already January 3rd here but I guess I’m okay if I claim it’s the 2nd. For one because it’s the title Cee gives this weeks Share Your World Challenge and second for some of you it is actually only the 2nd now.

It’s something that I find still funny, that writing to you from the future thing… I can lose myself in thinking about it actually. Isn’t it interesting how you can be basically one day behind and yet we live in the same exact moment, watching the world turn and go through the same things? And yet you are kind of in my past as you are a day behind and I’m in your future? Am I losing you yet? I hope not. Just think about it… It shows how relative time actually is…

Tell Me Something Good #38

Hey you all, by now you have made it to 2017 too. Here is to a new year, a new month, a new week and a new day. When I started this little blog event last year I wanted to simply kick off the week on a positive note. I thought it would be fun but realized pretty soon that it actually was much more. It gave me personally many smiles and I often felt energized by your positive stories you shared. It would be great if you would keep sharing them with me and maybe also invite your followers to participate in this challenge.

Let’s put some effort into creating a good week and kick start it with a positive thought on your Monday morning. Let’s do it! Let’s kick off the week on a positive note!

“2016 is over and honestly I’m pretty happy about it. It’s been a year of many challenges. Of course I know that just because the year is over it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any challenges ahead of me. But in a way I can close the lid on the “2016 book of my life” and move on. We started the new year with a day out with our friends. It was a lovely day and heaps of fun. The kids had fun, the adults had nice conversations and some giggles and I honestly felt energized on the way back home. It’s good to head out. It’s good to be outside and recharge. Not matter what you do…”

We’re there. The old year has just passed right now and the new year has begun. I know I said that I feel we should not focus so much on the change of the year to make changes. But I would still love to share a little New Year’s Eve advice with you. It’s something I saw last year and it stuck to me as I think it’s a great little advice:

Do not move on to 2017 without letting go of something significant from 2016:
An old idea, label, habit, fear, concern of ego. Let go to free up the whitespace for something new to enter…

I wish you all the strength and ability to let go of something significant to free yourself up again. And of course I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017…


2016 – Good Things

My Body


Isn’t it crazy how much influence the opinion of others has in regards to the way we see our body, the way we feel in our skin?

If you have followed me for a while you know that I post about my healthy eating and workout plans on occasion. I had made big plans for the end of this year but my body and my mind did not play along the way I had thought they would. I’m still on it and I will not drop my goals or let the fact that I have not reached my ideal weight discourage me. As with many things I’ll simply keep moving forward.

How You Deal With Situations…

… Determines how people receive it. I strongly believe that your attitude has a huge impact on how people receive a situation. You can make it or break it by the way you react on things, by the way you carry yourself and by the way you communicate things to others. It’s up to you if you blow a situation out of proportion or if you make something major appear like a minor hiccup.

It’s something I learned over the many years of my life and especially working the job I used to have. I admit I did not always handle situations perfectly well and that’s probably why I can tell now how much of a difference your behavior can make.

In a couple of days I will start my block of work again. I’m looking forward to it so very much. It will bring back my little piece of the past, not just with the environment I will work in but also what I will be doing and people I will see and haven’t seen for the last 12 months or even longer.
