#atozchallenge – F for Found

Isn’t it a great feeling when you finally found what you were looking for? No matter if it was the chocolate Easter eggs you hid a year ago, the fireworks or sparklers you bought for last years NYE, the dress you so desperately wanted for a discount, the rare ingredient for your dish or the love of your life. In any case you end up feeling happy.

You feel happy because you found that one thing, that item, that puzzle piece. You found the missing link. You found that one piece…

Recently I walked over some pebbles. In a way they were all the same. Same color, same kind of shape, same material. And yet so different. Different in size, weight and maybe in shape. I looked at them and wondered what makes us pick that one. The one piece we thing we want to pick up and take along? What makes us feel like we found the one piece?

And it’s the difference that speaks to us. Even if they are similar they all speak “a different language”. They call for us. And so we pick the one that is right for us. Even if others don’t understand why. Because we found the one. We found each other…

Is it bad to say that I find satisfaction in a good meal? But not just that. There is more…

Marvelous views are satisfying, especially after a hike…

A sip of fresh water or a good glass of wine or a fresh coffee can be satisfying…

Putting your feet into warm sand is satisfaction…

Those treasures you find on the beach are satisfying…

And sunsets are of course satisfying…

Blast From The Past – Water

Today I feel it inside of me. This longing. This pulling. The urge to go there. I need to go see the water, spend some time close to it. Smell the salt and the sand, the ocean. I want to hear the waves, want to look out over the blue and turquoise, watch the seagulls. I know I have to head to the beach. To recharge, to get inspired, to feel myself again. Here’s in a Blast From The Past how much the water actually means to me…

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – May 19th, 2017

I was wondering lately if the seal also asks itself which way to go on occasion or if it’s always clear to it where it wants to go…

This challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

Tell Me Something Good #58

We are all awesome in our own unique way. It doesn’t really matter what other people think, you know. All that matters is what they ones that really care of your think. And if you’d ask them, they would tell you that you are awesome. So take this on board. Believe in it. Believe that you are awesome!

So let’s do this. Let’s kick off this week with a positive thought. By sharing something good, something that made you happy or you are looking forward to .

It’s easy:

  • Mention something that you consider being good in the comments
  • Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.
  • Share this post and invite your followers as well.

Before I share my good thing how about we cheer ourselves on a little bit? Is that all? No way! Common, I know you got more of this in you! Cheer for yourself! Because you deserve it! And another round! And another one! Doesn’t that make you feel good?

I think we have one more round of cheering in ourselves. Just one more. And when you are done, here is what I’m going to share with you today:

“I enjoyed a couple of beautiful walks last week along the beach. It helps me reconnect with myself, with nature but also with my dad who has passed away 15 months ago. It was so beautiful to smell the ocean, to feel the sand under my feet, listen to the tiny little waves splashing. And just being myself. And when I then on one of the days got to see the seal taking a break on the beach from it’s journey my day was perfect. It’s not something that is normal around here. So it was a special gift. Something I truly appreciated.”

The Story Carried By The Wind

I’ve been out there again. Walking along the beach today. It was a calm day, not many people on the beach and even the seal that every now and then finds some peace on said beach wasn’t around. The water was calm, some grey clouds hanging around. While walking my my head was silent. It doesn’t often happen. No thoughts. Just my breathing, the sound of my steps in the sand and he gentle splashing of the couple small waves.
