Merry Christmas

I wish you all a very merry Christmas. Happy Holidays, simply a beautiful time together with the people you love. I wish you time to reflect and enjoy and that you see all the good things you have and truly cherish it.

The Hardest Part

Christmas is supposed to be cheerful, beautiful and fun. It’s supposed to be about being together and giving and spending time together. It’s supposed to be about a good time.

For most of us it is. But for some it’s not.

This time of the year is a very emotional time for many. It’s a difficult time for those who struggle and it’s a sad time for those of us who lost someone to those struggles.

Silent night. It’s one of the songs that comes to mind now, right? Well, how about silence? Do you experience it?

It’s something that I often think of when thinking back to how Christmas used to be in Switzerland. When I think of the nights fresh snow was falling. Because snow absorbs sound it really gets more quiet. But it’s more than that. It’s the way snow falls as well. A Sand Corn To Rebuild

Christmas, for some reason, always was that time of the year I looked deep inside. The time you think about what’s going on in your life, what’s going on in the world. Maybe even the time to really take in what’s going on around you. This year is no different.

Momma’s Christmas Decoration Challenge

How does your neighborhood look at the moment? Are there many decorated houses? Do you like it? See here you have to go out and try to find decorated houses… There are not many around. So I thought to help me get in the Christmas spirit I might run a little Blog Challenge, the “Momma’s Christmas Decoration Challenge“.

It’s pretty simple. All you have to do is snap a picture of the house with the nicest decoration in your neighborhood. It can be your house too. Then write a post about it and link it back to this post. I will then reblog your post and at the end of the Challenge (right after Christmas) my readers will have the opportunity to vote for the best post. So how about it?

Here’s a pic of one of our decorations:

Another participant in my “Momma’s Christmas Decoration Challenge”. Love the lights. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Momma from a Momma’s View wrote a post about getting into the Christmas Spirit. She is having a Photo Challenge to see Christmas decorations from fellow bloggers. You can see the link below if you would like to participate.

I live in an older neighborhood. Very few of my neighbors decorate, myself included. But! my next door neighbor has small children so, they do decorate 🙂 Here is the picture.

I think that decorations are kind of sweet. I enjoy seeing them. I really don’t understand why people do it but then again why not! 🙂

If you want to take part in Momma’s Christmas photo challenge follow the link and find the particulars!!

Blessed Be
