Isn’t it a great feeling when you finally found what you were looking for? No matter if it was the chocolate Easter eggs you hid a year ago, the fireworks or sparklers you bought for last years NYE, the dress you so desperately wanted for a discount, the rare ingredient for your dish or the love of your life. In any case you end up feeling happy.
You feel happy because you found that one thing, that item, that puzzle piece. You found the missing link. You found that one piece…
Recently I walked over some pebbles. In a way they were all the same. Same color, same kind of shape, same material. And yet so different. Different in size, weight and maybe in shape. I looked at them and wondered what makes us pick that one. The one piece we thing we want to pick up and take along? What makes us feel like we found the one piece?
And it’s the difference that speaks to us. Even if they are similar they all speak “a different language”. They call for us. And so we pick the one that is right for us. Even if others don’t understand why. Because we found the one. We found each other…
I read a great post on Coach Daddy yesterday and funny enough my son has decided to bake something today and is using the same ingredients mentioned in Eli’s post. While reading Eli’s post I couldn’t stop thinking about people. The wheel in my head started spinning. There you are, having flour, salt, brown sugar, maybe cacao powder, baking powder ready to use. By now you might wonder what people, sugar, flour, salt, baking powder or soda or cacao powder have in common. Bare with me…
You see all the different ingredients, you look at their different colors, textures and shapes. Everything is so very different and yet some are so similar. Again I can’t help but think of people. The wheel is still spinning…
So thankful for having been rewarded once again. The Bee Writes… has nominated me for The Blogger Recognition Award, an award that I happily accept. I know that many of you out there have decided to go award free. Maybe because the awards and the “rules” attached to them are more or less the same over and over again and I understand that it might feel a bit overwhelming covering it on multiple cases. I think though, that it’s a great way to show a bit more from you as a blogger, to reveal just that tiny little bit extra about you. And it’s for sure a nice appreciative nod we all like from time to time.
Not my work but I love it!
Hello you all it’s Monday again in my little part of the world. The weekend has been very busy and yesterday, on my way to bed, I actually felt like all my energy had been used up. But let me tell you: I feel so energized today!
So let’s do this! Let’s put some effort into creating a good week and kick start it with a positive thought on your Monday morning. Let’s kick start this week on a positive note!
- Mention something that you consider being good in the comments
- Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.
- Share this post and invite your followers as well.
Before I share my good thing with you let’s get a bit excited. I’m sure there is something for you to get excited about. And even if it’s just a tiny thing. Just wiggle and shake, scream and jump, laugh and clap, celebrate… just be happy 🙂
Doesn’t it make you feel good? Go ahead! Have another go! Feel great about yourself, feel good, be happy, dance, wiggle and shake 🙂 And once you’re done, I’m going to share my good thing with you:
“It feels so good when you realize that friends of you totally get you. Totally understand the struggle you are in and know what you talk about. It’s a great thing to find yourself in the position where you don’t have to explain anything because they know. We were invited to friends last weekend and had a great time, having fantastic conversations. And it became clear that we know exactly what we talk about in regards to certain people in our lives. So far, even with really good friends I often felt I had to explain the situation and sometimes I felt like they did not really understand. No question in regards to their support but it makes it so much easier when you realize that people actually get what you talk about and no explanation is needed.”
Nothing better than a real love story. I love to hear how people met and what made them fall in love with each other. I started my feature ‘Couples’ early on in my blogging journey and so far 50 stories have been shared. You can find them all here. Now let’s get to story number 51. It’s the story of Miriam and Doug. Please check out Miriam’s blog Out An’About. It’s a fantastic blog and thanks to her I discovered a nice little hike in our area. Thanks so much for sharing your story, Miriam. It’s a beautiful one. Life brings people together…
If you’d like to share your story with me just email (email@example.com) it to me and I will put it up. Don’t forget to mention the link to your blog in your email…
When I’m asked what I think is the biggest thing I got out of blogging I usually answer connections. Before A Momma’s View was born I would have never imagined how many new connections I would make. How many like minded people I would come across. It’s a pleasure to have met you and to meet you all, future connections…
It’s an amazing thing, you know. You suddenly get into this conversation with someone who lives somewhere across the globe but you immediately connect. You realize that you understand what the other person is saying, that they get you. Blogging is a social media as well. But the difference to all the other platforms is huge.
Hurray, it’s time for sharing my world again 🙂 I truly enjoy this challenge. Cee is doing a fantastic job coming up with great questions that are actually not only fun to answer but also make you think more about how you receive things or feel about them, like the one she asked us this time. If you have not done so yet, please give it a go and check out her Share Your World Challenge.
