A Face In The Crowd

There are some things that blow me away time after time. It’s being at an event, a sports event or a concert and seeing all those people there, enjoying it too. It amazes me how one person, one band, one singer, one athlete, a team can create such an energy. I often wonder how amazing, how energizing it must feel if you stand on that stage and see all those people in front of you. And while I think about it I realize that every single one of us are just that one face in the crowd. But every single one of us does their part to create the amazing energy we all feel…

Sweet

Sweet

Believe me, losing weight is not easy when you get spoiled with sweet surprises like this… Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

Tour Guide

“What do you recommend us to go see?” A harmless and yet so challenging question… I’m not a tour guide and therefor I really don’t know if I would give the best advice. I don’t even know “my” city well enough to give good enough pointers. Usually I start with all the things further away to then realize that I should mention things in the city… Here just a little peek of what I think is worth having a little look at in Melbourne…

Stroll along the Yarra River… my favorite time is when the sun sets…

Walk along the beach… (one of them…)

Check out the view of our city… and of course take a picture of our colorful “boxes”…

Take a tour of Melbourne Olympic Park…

Relax in one of the many parks…

And don’t forget to have a coffee (maybe with less chocolate on it…)…

Silence

Believe it or not, this image came to my mind when I saw the word “silence” just now. It’s the view I have when stepping out of one of our temporary offices at the Australian Open. It’s the place you go when you need a breather. A bit of silence (although it’s never really quiet out there while the event is on…). And yet it feels silent…

Glow

There is nothing more beautiful than the glow in someone’s eyes when they are happy. I have one specific picture in mind just right now and it’s the picture of my son when he visited the hospital right after our daughter was born and held her for the very first time. As I do not share pictures of the kids on any social media platform I will not put this picture up here either. So apologize for the tease 😉

The one thing that makes my eyes glow every time I see it (besides my children) is what the sun can do to the environment. In the middle of the day, at sunset or sunrise. How it can make things glow (not just my eyes…) and give you create warmth…

Ooh, Shiny!!!

First I thought this is all about shiny things and then I read what this weeks photo challenge is all about. It’s about things that always manage to catch your attention. So here is my take on “Ooh, Shiny!!!”

awe6

A beautiful sunset always catches my attention. To the point where I just stop talking to people. Rude? Maybe… worth looking? For sure…

And birds. Especially the special ones like our Rainbow Lorikeets or Cockatoos. But for sure eagles as well. Nope, they are not shiny, but they for sure stand out…
