What will we leave behind? What will people remember? What do you want them to remember? What will I leave behind?
I hope my kids will one day say that I taught them to stop and listen and look around. Look up, look at the stars and appreciate what is around us and who we are. I try to teach them this one little thing.
Do you ever wonder what is out there? Right now?
I recently walked along the beach and when I stopped to take a breath and enjoy the view, I started wondering.
What is actually out there?
I am floating on the water, seeing some currents in front of me and I am ready to speed through them, but then I decide to just lift off and fly with the speed of light over this beautiful river. Admiring the different shades of blue, green and sometimes turquoise of it. I fly above the river, following its path until it reaches the ocean.
I was just reading parts of the Interviews with Jaden and Willow Smith in The New York Times’ T Magazine. And as much as I try to understand what they try to tell us, I just don’t understand it really!
Listen, I get that you struggle. And I get that you are most probably not happy with where and what you are right now.
But it is not my fault, that life wasn’t that good to you.
I thought I might try out a slightly different style for my picks of the week. Let me know if you like it or if you prefer the way I did it previously. Ladies and Gentlemen, here you go, my picks of this week:
Oh, where to begin… So many thoughts and so many layers to discuss something so big and influential as feminism…
Let’s just put it out there: I am not a huge fan of feminism as it is used nowadays. I will try to keep this post short and controlled, as this subject usually triggers a bit of a reaction in me.
Water is the essence of life and for me something, I love to be around. Water makes about 50 – 60% of a human body and covers a bit over 70% of the Earth’s surface. But I guess you already knew that.
I don’t want to bore you with facts here. For me there is so much more to water than what meets the eye.
I think It tells a story. If you listen closely it will tell you the story of its journey.
I had a bad night… or better, I had no night at all… I was ready to go back to bed right after getting up… it will be a long day…
The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination. – Tommy Lasorda
I my opinion success is related to determination. And again it all comes down to not giving up. If I stand on the bottom of a mountain and I am afraid to even start climbing, or I am hesitating, I will probably never make it to the top. No matter how strong or fit or skilled I am.
I will succeed and get to the top, if I am determined to get there, no matter how long it takes me and no matter how many obstacles I have to overcome or find another way around them. Even if my body is not built for a challenge like that…
All I need is that hunger, that determination. And I will get there eventually…
