I posted this as a Blast From The Past before but felt so strongly about what I described in the post again that I simply can’t help myself sharing this post one more time. So often we find ourselves torn between the past, the present and the future. While I try to stay in the present, sometimes it needs something or someone to take me back from hanging out in the past or thinking about the future too much…
I’ve been quiet. Don’t you think? There was not much that I put out there with a lot of “meat on the bone”. The reason is simple: I had to set my priorities right. I love my blog. I love blogging, writing, reading your posts, connecting with you, exchanging our thoughts. But it is time consuming. And I don’t mean this in a bad way. Just in a very honest one.
It’s one of the posts I look forward to week by week. A fun challenge that gets you to think a little bit deeper, maybe different and share that tiny little bit more about you and your world. Cee invites us to a light Q&A challenge, posing fun questions. The challenge is all about having fun. I’m very much looking forward to answering them but also to read her answers and other bloggers Share Your World posts. It lets you discover more of them and sometimes really fun exchanges develop out of those posts.
Macron said it just perfectly fine. There is no Plan B because there is no planet B. Trump did it again. He mocks everything and everyone and simply only cares for himself. He acts like the famous elephant in the porcelain store, destroying everything on or in his way. Now he doesn’t even care about what we leave behind for our children. The ignorance is just mind blowing. He positions himself and unfortunately the USA in the same corner as Nicaragua and Syria. Coincident? Who knows. Interesting is that China and India seem to have the better understanding about the importance of looking after our planet that Trump seems to have.
Once again I wonder how people can still stand behind him. How people can still think he cares for them, that he is a true leader. He is not. A leader cares for his or her people. A leader cares for the future…
Loved the reactions of world leaders that truly belong in a leader position…
Make it your day. From the start to the end. I know it’s not always easy but it is doable and we can all get there. So let’s do it. Let’s start the week on a positive note!
- Mention something that you consider being good in the comments
- Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.
- Share this post and invite your followers as well.
Before I share my good thing with you let’s celebrate a little bit. Let’s celebrate Monday being our day:
And again! We have more celebration in us… Let’s do a little bit more… One more round… Because we totally earn it!
“My daughter has set her mind on a career and although I know she is still young I actually think that is it. She really wants to head there. It makes me happy to see that she has an idea of what she wants to do with her life as many young people seem to not have a clue at all. So let’s keep our fingers crossed that she keeps the goal clearly in front of her and keeps moving towards it in a steady way…”
It took me a while to actually sit down and start writing this post. Just simply because I needed time to get my thoughts straight. It’s inspired by one of the girls who teach yoga at the studio I used to go to. I still follow her on Facebook and recently she posted a short video with a short message in regards to the upcoming full moon.
Her message was simple but yet so deep: Connect with yourself, let go of the stories of your life, let go of the fears and the pain that are part of those stories.
I will not make this too long. I know that the options are most probably not the greatest. But I sure hope America will choose wisely. Choose wisely in regards to tolerance, acceptance, peace, role models, respect and safety.
All I can think about now is that if this goes wrong, the world will have to deal with one big bully. All I can think of is that if this goes wrong everything we teach our children goes out the window because very obviously all those values were ignored in the election. Imagine the impact it will have on our future generations! Bullying is what you want to do, treating women like meat will be the normal way, hate, intolerance, racism and chauvinism will be the things to achieve and live by.
Kindness will go out the window. And what about freedom? Yes, what about it? Do you really think a “leader” like this would let you live freely? Look at what he stands for. Then look at history and think hard. Don’t you think we saw this before? Don’t you think there were people following a guy like this before because they thought he is the one strong leader, simply because he built on their fear? And where did it lead? Back then it was about a religion. Back then it was not a wall but camps.
For the first time in my life I feel truly anxious. And I hope America has voted wisely…
It’s boggling my mind how people can still support Trump. After all he said and then claimed to have never said. After all he did.
He is crazy.
But put this aside and think about one thing: Do you have a mother? Do you have a wife? Do you have a sister? Do you have a daughter? Are you a woman?
If you said yes to only one of those above, let me ask you: If a man, any man, would treat you or one of the above the way he treats women, if a man, any man, would talk about you or any of the above the way he talks about women, would you like this person? Would you want this person close to you or your mother, wife, sister, your daughter??? Would you want this person to be in charge of you, your mother, your wife, your sister or your daughter? Would you want any guy to say that he will “grap her by the p…y”?
Would you? Well, I guess then you are as nuts as he is.
I definitely would never want anyone like him being either close to anyone I know or in charge of me or anyone I know.
He breeds a very sick environment and he will most probably not stop. He will bread racism, he will bread homophobia and he will bread rape and sexual abuse. He is dangerous. For you in the USA but also for the rest of the world…
He is definitely no laughing matter!
