I totally left out last weeks Tell Me Something Good post. I hope you still had an amazing week. This week I really wanted to make sure we are not missing out on a good start into the new week and so this comes a little bit early for some of my blogging friends way up North. So let’s do this, let’s kick off this week on a positive note:

It’s easy:

• Mention something that you consider being good in the comments

• Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.

• Share this post and invite your followers as well.

Before I share my good thing let’s do another happy dance. As you know I love my happy dances and so I decided to just keep doing it. Hope you’re having heaps of fun!

And when you are done dancing (any style you like), here is what I’d like to share with you today:

“You know how sometimes things just fall in place? When you first stand in front of a mountain wondering how you will be able to tackle it all and then boom, the solution presents itself? I’ve just had one of those moments. I got offered a job for an event that I was hoping to work for for a while now. But it was such a short notice offer that I was standing in front of a mountain not knowing how to climb it. In short: I had said yes to other commitments and so there I was: Do I take the offer and pull out of the other things, letting people down? Do I take the offer and try to juggle all of it, which most likely will be a very hard task to do and will leave my family with no time left for them at all? Do I turn down the offer and most likely never get to work for that specific event? It was a hard decision to make but I followed my gut and I did turn it down. I figured it was not meant to be and if it is then there would be an opening suddenly. It was not easy but it felt good and you know what: They got back to me. Because THEY want me to work for them. And they are willing to accommodate my needs.

Lesson learned, people: Stay true to yourself and don’t sell yourself short. It’s okay to say no sometimes and something much bigger might come from it…”
