Which Way Challenge – 15th September, 2018

I take a lot of pictures. Mostly with my iPhone at the moment actually. I’m often surprised how well the pics turn out. The Which Way Challenge is one of the photo challenges I really enjoy.

The rules:

It’s all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, signs, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

There won’t ever a topic to this challenge.  All you need have is the “way” visible and the main focus of your photo.  Here is a list of acceptable “ways”:

  • Roads:  gravel, asphalt, cobbled, dirt, freeway, expressway, highway, bridges
  • Indoor walkways:  hallways, aisles, people movers
  • Outdoor walks:  sidewalks, paths, trails
  • Stairs, elevators, escalators, or steps:  indoors, outdoors
  • Railway tracks, monorails, ski lifts
  • Runways and tarmacs
  • Ferry’s, canals and locks
  • Parking lots, private driveways
  • Tunnels
  • Signs of any kind:  directional, informational, store signs, wind 💨 vanes
  • Maps that are posted as signs

And here is my entry for this week:

Tell Me Something Good #116

Let’s take charge of the week and make it a good one. I have started on a high with a beautiful walk in a beautiful area. Yes, I have missed to post this one yesterday but we spent too much time outside having fun and by the time I was back home I was simply too tired to turn on the computer and type. So while it’s Tuesday here in Australia some of you are still enjoying Monday and therefor you have the entire week right in front of you.

It’s easy:

• Mention something that you consider being good in the comments

• Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.

• Share this post and invite your followers as well.

You know it by now! We are not moving any further without a little happy dance. So shake those hips and whatever else you need to shake and dance…

Let’s dance. Move it. Enjoy it… Maybe let’s skip the drink… but other than that: Let’s wiggle around, shake those hips, shimmy and have fun. Dance into the week and take and let the mojo tango or salsa you through the week… and once you are done, here is what I’d like to share with you today:

“It was a beautiful day today, super windy from the very beginning but that didn’t really matter. I still wanted to go out for a walk and I didn’t regret it. I loved to watch the leaves being blown around and we all made it back home before the heavy rain hit. Apparently there is much more of a storm to come. The one hope I have is to make it to the city nice and dry in order to then enjoy one of the most amazing entertainers and female role models of our current time…”

Blast From The Past – Bumble

I recently read that the bumble be is now officially threatened from extinction. And it made me sad. Sad because we manage to kill off another species, sad because I love watching bumble bees fly and sad because of what the bumble bee stands for for me: A massive inspiration and motivation. I remember the day my friend who is in a wheelchair since an accident skiing mentioned that quote about the bumble bee not being able to fly but how it doesn’t care or know and goes on flying anyway. It’s this thought that keeps me going so very often. Let’s make sure the bumble bee is not going extinct. I hope you don’t mind me sharing a post about bumble bees from back then as a Blast From The Past…

Hello Monday, my friend. I’m glad to see you because not only do you offer me a new day and a new week but also a new month. So let’s do this! Let’s start the week and the month off on a positive note!

It’s easy:

“I’m a bit late today. It’s because we spent all day out and hiking. It was such a beautiful day! The sun was out, the air was fresh and we had the most amazing day ever. We did a hike that we’ve not done yet. Well… we’ve done a tiny bit of it after Miriam had recommended it to me. Today we did almost all of it. And it was beautiful. I like being out there and in the forest. I believe there is something to forest bathing… but it’s also about discovering new things and enjoying new views…”

Oh hello there! Today I’m coming to you from my Tuesday which feels like a Monday as we had a long weekend and enjoyed a public holiday yesterday. Hence me not realizing that it’s actually Monday and totally forgetting about this post… my, oh, my… Anyway, most of you are reading this early enough to start this week with a positive bang. Right? So even if it is Tuesday in some places already it’s still early enough to make this week a good one.

It’s easy:

• Mention something that you consider being good in the comments

• Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). And round and round in circles you go. It’s totally fine when it’s about dancing. But hey, mix it up a little bit. You are in charge. Do it! Shake the hips, shimmy and do the twist… And once you are done here is what I’d like to share with you today:

“We took the kids to one of our favorite hikes. It’s also a hike we can take the dogs to, which is not a norm here in Australia. A lot of hikes you want to do are located in National Parks and dogs are not allowed there. So this one is a pretty wonderful one as it is just outside of a National Park and it leads you to the beautiful forest and into a massive open space. While in the forest the dogs have to be on their leads the are allowed to roam free as soon as you reach the open space. While we are loving it there you can see the joy on the dogs’ faces. It’s special to them too.

I was so exhausted yesterday on the drive there and felt so worn out. The moment we got out of the car and started walking I got better. I swear there is something to forest bathing. My energy levels went up right away. I’m so thankful for where life has taken us so far. Having all of this in our backyard almost is simply wonderful. In a short amount of time we are on a beach or in one of the most amazing National Parks. While walking yesterday I felt so grateful for being able to get all of it whenever I want it: The ocean, the mountain, the forest or open space…”

#atozchallenge – Z for Zen

Zen is a good thing. It’s a good feeling. Feeling the peace, the content, the “in control”. Sometimes I wonder if people are aware of what this little word actually represents. It’s powerful. So often I hear people use “zen“. I wonder if they realize it’s connection to Buddhism… It seems like it’s one of those words that are in fashion.

I wanted to trigger some thoughts about what zen means. And I thought it would be the perfect end to the #atozchallenge 2018. Right now I feel zen and I will share some pictures of places that always help me find my zen, no matter if I can visit them in real or just in my thoughts…
