Story

I always say that wind and water tell a story. Just imagine where they go, what they encounter, the area they cover. Imagine what they “see”. When you are out there in the wind, listening to it, feeling it on your skin in your hair, it tells you the story of its journey. When you are in the ocean, surrounded by water, feeling the small or big waves on your body, you already know how far it has traveled and that the cycle is only about to start again. From the little raindrop, to the spring, the river, the lakes, the ocean… It travels through the atmosphere, the different layers of our Earth, and through landscape, past people, animals, nature.

When you are out there in the wind, in the water you can feel its power, its story and when the two of them come together it’s one of the most energizing experiences ever…

It was 9 years ago when I had my own family. I was too young to become a mom and wife. Just 17 years old. Back then, I thought that at my age I should have been at parties and enjoying my college life but there I was, thinking about the future of the little life inside my tummy and my husband who’s as young as me. I was still studying that time and did not want to stop going to school. My dream is to finish my studies and my husband/bf gave way so I could fulfill my dreams. He worked hard to finance my schooling and to give our baby’s needs. He was 16. Fast forward 2016, now I have a stable job and I am helping him earn for our family’s future.

More than his perseverance to provide for our family, I will forever be grateful to…

Writing A New Story

It took me a while to actually sit down and start writing this post. Just simply because I needed time to get my thoughts straight. It’s inspired by one of the girls who teach yoga at the studio I used to go to. I still follow her on Facebook and recently she posted a short video with a short message in regards to the upcoming full moon.

Her message was simple but yet so deep: Connect with yourself, let go of the stories of your life, let go of the fears and the pain that are part of those stories.

Why Do I Write?

Image result for quotes writing

I love award nominations. Don’t worry, this post has nothing to do with yet another blogger award and I’m also not fishing for another nomination. What I like in regards to the nominations are the questions that mostly come along. I think you find out a lot about a blogger when you read their answers.

One of the questions that is often asked is “why do you write”. It’s a good question, actually. Why do  we all write?

6 Words With The Coach

Coach Daddy is hosting this event at the end of every month. It’s called 6 Words and it has been inspired by Ernest Hemingway who said that every story can be told in 6 words. It’s the second time I participated and I have to say that it’s not only fun and maybe a bit challenging but also very thought provoking.

This months 6 Words theme for this month was What’s one thing you’d like to upgrade about yourself, in six words? September being self-improvement month.

I’m already excited for the October challenge and can’t wait to find out what it will be about. I wonder though what your answer would be? What would you like to upgrade or improve about yourself?

Finish It! #32 – It Ends Here

They gathered what they could quickly grab, not much, not even all of the essentials something like this would need. She gently lifted the baby out of the cot while he gently woke their older son. They had to leave. Now. And they didn’t know when, if at all, they would be able to return. One last look back before they locked the door for good was all they could do for now.

They had been in this situation countless times ever since they’ve got together. Although years back, he remembered the time as if it was yesterday. He was a teacher in a picturesque little country town, she was the wife of one of the most influential businessmen in the area. Their paths crossed on a regular base standing in line in their favorite coffee shop, waiting for their coffee to be made. From the very beginning he was attracted to her. She was a beautiful, smart woman. And there was that little something. That feeling that is hard to describe but makes you feel so at ease when you around someone. He could sense it when she entered the coffee shop, he knew it was her without turning around and it already put a smile on his face before he even laid eyes on her.

It took them a while until they started a conversation. First it was about the weather, the local news and eventually about their jobs. While they were just chatting in line in the first couple of weeks after they’ve met, they chose to actually sit down and finish their coffees together one day. From then on their daily take-away coffee turned into a little get together that both of them enjoyed thoroughly.

Blast From The Past – Under The Snow

I know most of you are probably sick and tired of the snow and reading about it. Well I am not… we are only just heading into winter soon and winter here does not mean snow really. So I figured I could ‘recycle’ this post I wrote last year. After a couple of comments I received last time I should probably mention as well, that I was not really in an avalanche. This is fictional. I would love to hear what you think about it…

Blog Event – Finish It

Thought you might like this Blog Event.

Author S B Mazing

I decided to create a little blog event and would like to call it “Finish it”.

And this is what it will be about:

There is one short sentence, maybe a short paragraph. The start to a little story. There will be a new one every Wednesday. Your job is to write a short story. Finish, what I’ve begun.

The rules are simple:

  • Post the short story with the given start to it on your blog
  • Link it back to this page
  • Use less than 3500 words
  • Mention this blog event and this blog in a short intro (not included in the word count)
  • Use the Tag Finish it for your post.

I will reblog your posts on this blog and also list them on this page for further references.

And now let’s see what we will get. And who knows, maybe we can have a little vote to…
