Danger

I met a new friend recently, who just moved to Australia from Canada. We had a good laugh as she has seen a couple of the “dangerous locals” already in her first couple of weeks here in this country. For us it took much longer to spot one… The good thing is: We all are still alive and kicking. It’s not really as bad here as some people might think…

A Momma's View

Australia is well known for it’s special, unique and also dangerous animals. One of the things that have fascinated me from the very beginning are the different kind of jelly fish that are lethal. While the box jelly is one you can actually spot and hope that you spot its body before the tentacles get to you, the Irukandji is tiny. Thankfully we do not have to worry about either of them down here in Australia’s South. Up in the North it’s a different story though and during certain times of the year you should not enter the water without either wearing a stinger suit or swimming in one of the netted areas. And even there you have no guarantee to not encounter an Irukandji.

It took us 9 years living in Australia before actually encountering the first snake in the wild. We were on a hike and it…

“Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle.” -Marilyn Monroe

Today, I want to challenge, inspire, and motivate you to do one thing today: TO MAKE SOMEONE TWINKLE TODAY!

What are the rules of this challenge?

There is only one rule: MAKE SOMEONE TWINKLE TODAY WITH EITHER YOUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS, WORDS, OR ACTIONS!

Why do I want you to make someone twinkle today?

I want you to make someone twinkle because of the following:

  • It can motivate a person to try, give, and do their best.
  • It can challenge a person to keep on going and never give up.

winnersWhy do I know you can make someone twinkle?

I know you have the ability to make someone shine brightly, glow beautifully, and blush with amazement. I am sure you have a history of making someone twinkle with…

MCDC – Christmas Market – B&P’s Shadorma and Beyond – The Circular Poem

And another entry for the MCDC (Momma’s Christmas Decoration Challenge). Thank you so much, my friend, for your participation 🙂

ladyleemanilasphotos

Hello, Bastet here for a new episode of B&P.

Today we’re going to look into one of the many variations of the Circular Poem. I first came across this variation reading a blog written at Jane Dougherty Writes a few weeks ago where Jane, a very talented poet, challenged her readers to try the form. I found it very stimulating indeed!

So the circular poem we’re going to try is Jane’s variation of the form as described here in her words:

“A circular poem is one that goes round full circle.

The last word of the first line rhymes with the first word of the following line and so on until you end up back at your first line.

Lines can be any length, it’s the rhyme that’s important.”

Christmas market in the city
Sea of people looking around
Background of lights and decors
Stores, malt wine, stars and figures

Angela, my Christmas tree Angel, is out of hibernation and is now sitting on top of our Christmas tree.

However, this year she has been joined by Macy who is sitting on top of a smaller Christmas tree we have also put up.
