Share Your World – January 16th 2017

In this week’s Challenge Cee is sharing questions from a series of questions that Netdancer’s Musings answered on her post “Getting to Know Me – 50 Questions”. So let’s see what this is all about and what the answers might reveal…

Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
I keep them closed. And I just started wondering why… I don’t think it’s because I’m scared of any monsters. But then I also wonder if it might have been the case when I was a child. Thinking back I know that there were moments when I couldn’t sleep and got spooked by all the little noises from inside and outside. And now I start wondering why children get so scared of the monsters in the closets… Is it because of all the stories? Is it because adults use stories like this to control kids and get them to do things they don’t want to do? But why would you scare them? In any case, I doubt that the fact that I like my closet doors shut while I sleep has anything to do with monsters in it but rather because I feel like the room is tidier like this. It makes me feel like it’s all sorted and that gives me a good night sleep (as if closing the closet doors would sort everything out… but hey, it works…)

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
Of course. I think it’s perfect to have them at home and offer them to guests if you have guest staying over. I usually put them out for them. I don’t think that they are the best shampoos or conditioner usually but they are just simply handy to have and they are included in the price you pay for the room, so why not. Would I ever take a robe but I definitely take the shampoos, conditioners, lotion and soaps.

What is your usual bedtime?
My usual bedtime is between 10pm and midnight. But I might change it. I just realized or better remembered again how amazing early mornings actually are. Not that I believe 4am should even be considered morning but 5-6am is actually pretty nice. If I go to bed after ten though I will not be able to make it a habit to get up at 5am…

Do you like to use post-it notes?
Not really… I prefer to make notes on note pads. I hardly ever use post-it notes anymore. I used to and basically plastered the screen of my computer with them. It’s the moment it doesn’t work anymore when there are too many.

When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?
I honestly don’t remember… wow… it’s really been a while. I do write cards and I write little notes for my husband every morning before I leave the house. But a proper letter… I don’t know.

Any phobias?
No. There some things I don’t like but I wouldn’t call it a phobia. Like Emus. I really, really don’t like Emus…

How tall are you?
I’m tall enough to not disappear and short enough to not hit my head everywhere 😉

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m just grateful for my life and for the people I have with me. I’m grateful for being healthy and for being loved and appreciated. I’m grateful for having friends who support me, who are there for me, who I can laugh with, giggle with. I’m just grateful for my life.

  1. I like closet doors closed too. Makes the room feel more tidy. Close the bathroom door most of the way as it’s directly across from the foot of my bed. Bad Feng Shui to leave it open. I take the shampoos, etc too and after collecting a number, donate them to the homeless or abused women’s shelters. I don’t travel as much anymore so not so many to donate. I think as a whole, we are using less post it notes than before. Especially with electronic notes in our phones. They are handy to put on the door for a delivery person or on the fridge to say I went to the store or out for a walk. Never seen an emu. I think they are unusual looking too.
