A beautiful piece of of art in a stunning place. The sun shining, the light reflecting in the sculpture. You look at it and the light shines so bright one moment only to be dim the next.
It was a beautiful day on one of our trips. We had a busy couple of weeks leading up to this trip and we did not even plan on visiting this spot. It was a “last minute” decision. One I’m happy we made.
Lake Tahoe is stunning and the short time we spent there was well worth it. In only a short amount of time this place gave me back so much energy. It’s for sure a place I’d love to visit again.

Took me few seconds to notice that it is not an abstract but a sculpture of a fish What is amazing of you photo is that the colours in the sculpture is repeated around the sculpture.

Yes! It’s stunning in real. The colors of the lake and the sky just melt into the sculpture. I’m sure it’s even more stunning in summer.

I have never been there but I can imagine that very well. I heard the sound of the waves when I looked at the picture.

Lake Tahoe in particular, and that part of California in general, hold some special memories for me. When were you there and do you recall the situation where that photo was taken? I’d be willing to bet it was at an arts and crafts fair or show in the summertime! Interestingly, I did a bit of research into the Tom Cruise film “Legend”, which you and your daughter may enjoy since it takes place in a land of fairies who might have lived in houses similar to those pictured on your previous post. In order to achieve the look of Legend that he wanted, the director, Ridley Scott, scouted locations in the Sequoias of Yosemite National Park, another of my favorite places in that area of California. Did you get a chance to see the grand scale of trees there?

Thanks for bringing up “Legends”! I remember watching it a long time ago and I forgot about it. Need to watch it with my daughter, as you said, she’d love it. We were there for only a short time in February. I can’t tell you what was going on in regards to the sculptures. We arrived late afternoon and stayed for only two nights before heading off early morning to travel to Switzerland. It’s definitely a place I want to go back to, for sure in summer. I’d like to do some hiking there, explore the forests and Yosemite is on our list of places to visit too. The friends we were traveling with left to Yosemite afterwards.
