It’s been two weeks every since Element has nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award. I love being nominated for all those awards as it shows me that what I do here is somehow appreciated. Thank you so much, my friend, for this little pat on my back! You have a beautiful blog yourself and I can only hope people will come over and check it out too.
So let’s do it, shall we?
The rules are as follows:
- Thank the person that nominated you and provide a link to their blog. Done
- List the rules. Done
- Display the award on your post of the award. Done
- List seven facts about yourself. About to
- Nominate 15 bloggers for this award and comment on one of their posts to let them know you have nominated them. About to
So you’d like to read seven facts about me… This seems always the hardest part of the rules as I really don’t want to repeat myself but also don’t want to list some things. So let’s see what I can actually come up with…
- I hate it if work is not busy. But right now at least it gives me the chance to catch up with my blog… Honestly, I can’t stand it if I get paid for just sitting there. I like it when it’s busy. I feel like I’m worth the money paid then.
- I have realized how much I’ve missed doing what I used to do over the last couple of weeks. Now it’s about figuring out if there is a way to get back to it on a more frequent base again.
- I love the interaction with people.
- I appreciate the weather at the moment as it is not too hot but just very nice and warm.
- I’m nervous as I will soon see people I have not seen for a long time and I wonder how it will turn out.
- I think that some friendships are meant to last a lifetime. Some are not. There is no way you will be able to tell. Only time will tell…
- I have freckles and I like them 🙂 (I’m pretty sure I’ve shared this fact already…)
Nominate 15 Bloggers… I don’t want to pick. So how about we just put it out there: You are all nominated! Yes! You, and you. And you too!
Congratulations, Sandra! You simply are so very lovely!!!!

Congratulations. It’s always nice to receive recognition but the hard part was the nominating and you figured a way around it. Me, I could never figure out how to post the award on my blog so I just stopped accepting. 🙂 Liked your answers though I don’t fully understand what you are trying to get back to. I’ve missed a lot. May catch up one day but doubt it. 🙂

Oh, don’t worry. Nothing really to catch up on. I find the nominating part the hardest as there are so many blogs out there that I like and visit a lot. And that I also find would deserve a nomination. Sometimes, depending on the most recent conversations I had with bloggers I choose them. But then, after posting, suddenly others pop in my mind and then I feel bad for not having mentioned them in the first place. Now what is it today with the letter f followed by an i? It disappears…

I had that problem yesterday and It’s back again today but only on comments. Maybe WordPress is trying to see if they can make us all loony bin ready? It only happens when you write a word with f in it like find. See! And I don’t think it’s on all the comments but maybe I’ll have to check this out. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone.:)

I agree, being busy at work is so much better than doing nothing. Freckles are beautiful. I hated mine when I was a kid though.

I always loved them. And I actually never thought of them. I don’t have a lot but I have some. A few years ago a lady said to me that they would be a sign of skin issues… it was in the early days down here in Australia and it seems like they see it as a sign of upcoming skin cancer. I always had them and my skin is okay so I told the lady that in my case it’s just my skin. I think she did not believe me really… 😉

See. I think she was over reacting. Probably read something in some magazine.

Sounds like you’re going through the symptoms of withdrawal often experienced by working moms who wish to experience the best of both worlds. I was fortunate to have a very flexible part time job for a period while my kids were growing up. I hope you can find something similar. Beware, though, that at times you may feel that you are not doing as well in either your personal or professional life as you might like. It’s that elusive balance thing, kind of like performing a high wire act. Fortunately, if you wobble or even fall off, the consequences will not be deadly, you can recover, and you will also have your spouse, as I had mine, as well as friends and family, to cushion your fall, prop you up or help you back on the wire when requested to do so. Best of luck.

Hahaha… so very true. Yes, I agree. It seems like heaven at the moment but if it turns into a more regular thing it might as well not be that easy anymore. I guess the fact that I know that work will end after four weeks also leads to the point where I allow myself to really put my all into it as I know that I will be back with my family 100% afterwards again and that I only take myself out of it for a limited time. If it would turn into a more frequent job that might no longer be the case and then the balancing would begin…
