It was a date movie for my husband and I..I remember leaving the movie and wanting to drop out of college to get married. It had a profound effect on me. Hard not to cry at hearing the theme song. 💕

It seems so. I/we were in deep at that point, and the thought of a deadly disease taking that away…well played in the movie !! (we did wait until after graduation, though). ☺

My true love died, he took his life. I don’t have the perfect love story.

He was quite remarkable , a very fine man . He would not want us to grieve him, he had a good life though it was cut short . Thank you for the kind words

Love means ALWAYS (as opposed to never, which is the famous tag line for this book and film) having to say you’re sorry. That’s why my love story continues.:)
