Blast From The Past – Man Spreading…

Yeah, it has happened again. Maybe I should start a series called “observations on the train”. I guess I would repeat myself too often though… But while heading in to tick off my last shift for the AO2018 there they were again. Different guys. Same behavior and it made me think of this post…

Virtual World

morning

It’s been a beautiful morning today. One of the mornings you can’t help but enjoying your early walk with the doggies and maybe add another little bit to the usual round. It was one of the mornings you can’t help but looking up, watching the birds fly by (Cockatoos make such noise!) and enjoy the sunny morning.

And then I passed the train station.

Man spreading…

I like my train rides. Not Just because they give me time to think but also because I like people watching. Over the last month I have used the train much more regularly than during the entire year and I’ve seen many things.

There were things that annoyed me, like the woman and her reaction to a child kissing her mom on the lips. There were moments you watch but you should not watch, like couples kissing. There were weird people, some put a smile on my face and some creep-ed me out.

And then there were all the tradies, all the contractors. That group is a very interesting one. Often on the very first train before 5am and it’s always the same thing.

Tell Me Something Good #39

Image result for quotes positive start

Let’s put some effort into creating a good week and kick start it with a positive thought on your Monday morning. Let’s do it! Let’s kick off the week on a positive note!

It’s easy:

  • Mention something that you consider being good in the comments
  • Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.
  • Share this post and invite your followers as well.

Before I share my good thing with you lets all giggle a little bit. And what would be better to get in the giggle mood than listening to a baby giggle? This clip is close to my heart as our son had many giggles because of our dog. They two of them were really close and in a way our dog was almost like a big brother to our son. So here we go, lets giggle 😉

I totally understand if you can’t get enough of this. I struggle to stop watching it myself. And those babies (and the dogs) make me giggle. So go ahead, have another go. Feels good to giggle, doesn’t it 😉

And when you had enough (and hopefully still have your smile on your face) here is what I like to share with you today:

“The other day on my way back from work one of the contractors working on site was walking behind me in the direction of the train station when some guy bumped straight into me. The guy did not even apologize although he had hit me quit hard. The contractor, who was probably in his early 20’s and looked what I would call totally wild, told the guy off and then asked me if I’m okay. Everything was fine. I thought he might just walk off but he started a conversation and so we made our way to the train station together. Turned out we had to catch the same train and so we continued chatting about traveling, work, surfing, the beach, school, manners and life in general. I have to say that this guy totally surprised me. He was smart, polite, funny. If it wouldn’t have been to the little incident I would have not started a conversation with him and we might both have ended up sitting on the train by ourselves, glancing out the window. Instead I had a refreshing conversation and was taught by life that looks can be deceiving. Never judge a book by it’s cover ;-)”
