Tell Me Something Good #28

Image result for quote start the week

So then let’s do just that! Let’s start the week with a positive attitude! Tell me something good!

It’s easy:

  • Mention something that you consider being good in the comments
  • Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.
  • Share this post and invite your followers as well.

Before we start though, think about treating yourself to something you enjoy. Like a little massage. Or a back rub. Who doesn’t like a back rub, right?

Are you enjoying it? Doesn’t it feel good? Keep enjoying it. For as long as it lasts. I think back rubs are never long enough… Another round? Sure! Go for it! Remember: You’re worth it!

And when you are ready, let me share what I’m looking forward to this week:

“Although Halloween is not as big here as it is over in the States, we still celebrate it. I know it’s still a week away but the excitement has gotten to me. This week will be about decorating the house and lots of chats with my daughter about who might dress up as what.

Although it’s on a Monday this year, we will still get to sleep in the next day as the first Tuesday of October is Cup Day and a public holiday here. It’s when horses stop a city. We will have our friends over again on Halloween, enjoying good food, great company and a round of trick or treating in the neighborhood. I love seeing the excitement in our children’s eyes when they wait for their friends to arrive, wondering what they are dressed up as and then going door to door to collect treats. Then it will be play time and for us time to sit down and relax, probably also chatting about which horse will get over the finish line first the next day.”

  1. I’m debating whether to be Boy George or Little Caesar for Halloween, if you’re wondering what it’s like in my life. My girls get bushels of candy trick-or-treating at my work.

The awesome Kimberly Novosel suggested Casual Monday, rather than Casual Friday. What week can’t get off to a great start in comfortable clothes?

  2. This week we have family celebrating a special moment for my son… looking forward to it and spending the week prepping for the party.

The weekend was so enjoyable, filled with activities and social…it was a struggle getting up and getting off to work.

    Hope you’re well Sandra x

  7. I wholeheartedly subscribe to the thought at the head of this post but, as the old curmudgeon that I am, I am starting this week off on a negative note since I though I had dieted all weekend but found the number on the scale had increased this morning. I will try to overlook that and not use it as a reason to not get dressed in slightly snug clothing and attend my class about the life of the Buddha later this morning. Besides that, since I am carpooling with some fellow students tomorrow, I will still visit the local Hindu temple and try to enjoy the buffet of South Indian cuisine, hoping that clothing is not as snug by then. The best thing about last week was that I got to see the three young ladies that I am mentoring through their first two years of college, who are persevering through a range of adversities that they have encountered so far, just three months in. They give me hope for the future.

    • Sounds wonderful and don’t stress in regards to the numbers on the scale. My weight goes up during certain moon phases and if I combine certain foods… it’s all fluids. I decided to ignore the scale today as with yesterdays dishes everyone brought dieting was out of the question… today is a public holiday here so I will treat it that way too and just relax. Back to watching what I eat tomorrow. I lost almost 3kg and I’m on track with my plan, slightly behind in regards to the kg I shed but I lost another cm around my waist, which is great 🙂
Enjoy the Hindu Temple and the buffet and the company 🙂
