My Picks Of The Week – #48
Approaching the end of this year fast. Another week has past. So here are my favorite posts of the last couple of days:
School – Did You Know…
… That one in five children in the world has never been inside a schoolroom?
One in five! Wow! Wonder if our kids know how privileged they actually are…
I liked school, I actually had a great time. Still there was always a “had to” attached and sometimes I just didn’t want to go. I wonder what the “one in five” child would feel…
Your Stories – How I Met My Mr Right! By LaChelle Betcher
Finally there is another beautiful story about finding the love of your life. Thank you so much, LaChelle, for sharing your story!
“I had arrived at my very first, true command in the Navy. The U.S.S. Emory S. Land stationed in La Maddalena, Italy. I was so nervous because I had flown into a foreign country all by myself and this was the first time I had gone so far away from home (I lived in California at the time). What is actually out there?
Plate Tectonics Reveal an Astonishing Secret

Plate tectonics are responsible for the shifting continents on Earth, the rising mid-Pacific ridge, the widening Atlantic, volcanic activity on Earth, and earthquakes along faults such as the San Andreas fault in California (United States). But is Earth alone? Continue reading
The Maybe Hidden Message
I recently wrote a post about ‘Tom & Jerry’, mainly for my daughter but the comments I got on this were simply amazing. And then, only a day after I found a post that kind of went in a similar direction. Inspired by Young And Twenty‘s post I came up with a couple more of my kids favorite movies, which obviously have a deeper message:
What If?
Have you ever wondered what would be if things would have gone differently in your past?
Would you be where you are right now, with who you are, enjoying what you enjoy? Or would you be somewhere totally different. And where would it have taken you?
